A radiologist carefully examines the images. This is not a quick glance—it’s a detailed analysis looking for subtle findings, and to answer the clinical question posed by your requesting doctor/clinician.

Step 3: Report Writing

The radiologist produces a structured report that explains:

·       What it means

·       What may need to happen next

Step 4: Clinical Decision

Your referring doctor uses this report—along with your symptoms and history—to decide on treatment.
