WHAT TO EXPECT
An X-ray is a fast, simple imaging test that uses a very small amount of radiation to produce images of the inside of your body. It is commonly used to examine bones, the chest, and some organs.
HOW TO PREPARE
X-rays usually require little to no preparation.
You may be asked to:

Remove jewellery or metal objects

Wear clothing without metal fastenings where possible

Inform the radiographer if there is any chance you may be pregnant
Our team will guide you clearly on the day.
DURING YOUR X-RAY

The radiographer will position you carefully

The image takes only a few seconds

You may be asked to hold your breath briefly

The procedure is painless
AFTER THE X-RAY

You can return to your normal activities immediately

A radiologist will review the images and send a report to your doctor
